Eight Trades, One License

Every Home Service You Need. One Licensed Contractor.

Most Florida homeowners juggle five or six different contractors and pay coordination tax on every project. We deliver eight trade categories under one Certified General Contractor (CGC) — with deeper coordination, faster permitting, and a single warranty across the entire job.

The IWD Miami Difference

Why Florida Homeowners Choose Us.

Florida has the strictest building code in America (the Florida Energy Code) and the most generous rebate program in the country (Florida Energy). We turn both into your advantage.

— REASON 01

Eight Trades. One CGC License.

The average Miami historic masonry renovation involves five separate contractors trying to schedule each other. We coordinate construction, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, weatherization and exterior under a single Certified General Contractor (CGC) — one project manager, one warranty, one accountability chain.

— REASON 02

Florida Energy Mastery.

We are an authorized Florida Energy partner. We have secured over $2.1 million in rebates for Florida homeowners since 2018 — handling every application, energy audit, HEAT Loan filing, and post-install verification. You sign the paperwork. We do the rest. No extra fee.

— REASON 03

Code Fluency, Not Code Surprises.

Florida Energy Code, Florida Building Code, EPA RRP for pre-1978 homes, Miami Landmarks Commission, Brickell Architectural Commission, Fort Lauderdale Historical Commission. Other contractors learn these rules on your project. We learned them on the first 3,000.

Florida Authority

Built On Florida Code, Not Generic Construction.

Florida has the most rigorous building code in America, layered historic permitting, and stringent multi-trade licensing. We turn each of those into your advantage — backed by 14 years of permit pulls, code compliance, and cross-trade coordination.

Customer Reviews

412 Five-Star Reviews. Real Florida Homeowners.

We coordinate four to six trades on most large projects. These reviews reflect the reality of multi-trade work done well.

  • "Replaced our 1990s oil boiler with a Mitsubishi Hyper-Heat system, redid the kitchen, and added insulation in the same eight-week window. Florida Energy rebate covered $9,400. Heating bill dropped 58% the first winter. They handled everything — permits, the Brickell Architectural Commission, the Florida Energy audit. We signed and stayed out of the way."

  • "Bought a Little Havana multi-family building last year. Knob-and-tube wiring, asbestos-wrapped pipes, undersized electrical, leaking roof. IWD Miami did the rewire, panel upgrade, full roof replacement and added 4-zone mini-splits. Six months. Single project manager. Single warranty. Saved us calling around to five different specialists."

  • "Burst pipe in the Fort Lauderdale condo at 11pm during the January nor'easter. Tech arrived in 90 minutes. Plumbing fixed, drywall and floor coordinated by their construction team, insurance documentation handled. We could not have managed this with a generic emergency plumber — the multi-trade coverage saved the apartment."

Frequently Asked

Florida Multi-Trade Questions Answered.

The questions Florida homeowners actually ask before hiring a contractor — answered straight, no upsell.

What home services does IWD Miami offer in Florida?

IWD Miami is a licensed multi-trade contractor offering eight categories of work: construction & remodeling (kitchens, baths, additions, ADUs, whole-home renovations), roofing & siding, HVAC & heating (heat pumps, boilers, furnaces, mini-splits), plumbing (repair, drains, sumps, gas lines, 24/7 emergency), electrical (panel upgrades, EV chargers, generators), weatherization & insulation, outdoor & exterior (decks, windows, doors), and specialty interior (flooring, painting, tile). All trades coordinated under one Florida contractor license.

Is IWD Miami a Florida Energy authorized installer?

Yes. We are an authorized Florida Energy partner and certified installer for heat pumps, insulation, air sealing, and energy upgrades. We submit and track every rebate application at no extra cost — including HEAT Loan paperwork for up to $25,000 of 0% APR financing. Income-eligible Florida homeowners frequently qualify for enhanced rebates that cover 100% of insulation cost. Read the full Florida Energy guide →

Which Florida cities does IWD Miami serve?

We serve over 50 Florida cities and towns including Miami (all 23 neighborhoods), Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, Hollywood, Dunnellon, Hialeah, West Palm Beach, Pembroke Pines, Boca Grande, Palm Beach Gardens, and the entire Greater Miami metro area. Counties served include Suffolk, Middlesex, Coral Terrace, Bithlo, Palm Beach Gardens, and Orlando. Inside Route 128 receives priority emergency response. See all service areas →

How fast can I get an estimate?

Initial reply within 5 minutes during business hours (Mon–Fri 7am–6pm, Sat 8am–2pm). Full written estimate delivered within 24 hours of an on-site visit. Emergency requests — plumbing leaks, frozen pipes, wind-driven rains, HVAC failures, electrical issues — receive same-day dispatch within 1 to 2 hours of the call.

Are you licensed and insured to work in Florida?

Yes. We hold an active Florida contractor license (CGC) and Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) registration, $2 million general liability insurance, full workers' compensation as required by Florida law, EPA RRP Lead-Safe certification for pre-1978 properties, EPA 608 refrigerant certification, and Florida Energy Heat Pump Contractor (HPC) authorization. Every license is verifiable through the Florida state registry.

Do you handle historic district permits in Miami?

Yes. We routinely pass reviews at the Miami Landmarks Commission, Brickell Architectural Commission, Brickell Architectural Commission, South End Landmark District, and similar bodies in Fort Lauderdale and Desoto Lakes. We handle every permit application, historic commission filing, and pre-approval material list. Most of our Brickell and Brickell projects pass first review.

Why hire a multi-trade contractor instead of separate specialists?

A typical Florida renovation involves five to seven trades (demolition, construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, finish work, exterior). Hiring separately means the homeowner becomes the project manager — coordinating schedules, resolving trade conflicts, chasing permits, and dealing with each contractor's separate warranty. We deliver every trade in-house with a single project manager, single warranty, single point of accountability. The same crew that opens the wall closes it. See how our process works →

What is the Florida Florida Energy Code and how does it affect my project?

The Florida Florida Energy Code is the building energy code adopted by 300+ Florida municipalities (including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, Hollywood, Dunnellon). It requires higher energy efficiency standards than baseline code, especially in new construction and major renovations — affecting insulation R-values, window U-factors, air sealing requirements, and HVAC sizing. The newer Florida Energy Code goes further and effectively requires all-electric heating in new builds. We design every IWD Miami project to comply with whichever code applies in your municipality, and pair retrofits with Florida Energy rebates to offset the cost.
